“Oga, abeg, make we talk,
wetin I fit do, so I fit commot?
Inspector general, well-done,
how you dey?
Wetin you say, lets negotiate”
Bros mi, wassup now,
help me sign this paper,
‘I go see you, sey you understand’
Such are the song and the ways
of our corrupt brothers and sisters,
pushing the law aside day by day,
the shortcut to make things faster.
From taxi-driver to policeman,
negotiating to drive without a liscense,
later six people are gone with an accident
news reports says “road mishap-police investigating”
but precious souls have become past tense,
because of 20 Naira into a painful death.
Its been a month, the Director isn’t still on-sit
to sign papers in the Federal Ministry of……
and his Secretary demands a little bit of……
saying “I hope you understand”
and if you dont understand, reality will bite
and you file or request wont make a move,
worse is it’ll find it’s way to the garbage
if you don’t act and act ‘on time’
So who will help, who will fight
for you with no other Ministry of …..
under the same roof.
The corrupt rising to the top overnight
Thats Life in my Fatherland in just a spoof.
