You don’t slide up hill,
while you sit and sit still.
You will climb success’ ladder by working,
against storms, coming and going,
against nature’s downward pull,
against men, who would you hands cool,
against thorns, and bristles on the way,
until you reach your success bay,
when you’re finally at the top,
and for some rest, if you’ll stop,
beware, to fail is not so hard,
to find the way back into the sand,.
If you’ll sit and time you’ll kill,
with a little of success’ pride feel,
it will be an effortless downslide,
on failure’s street, you’ll need no guide.
