John 3: 16 – For God so loved the world

Romans 3:23 For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;

2-Corinthians 6:2 For he saith, I have heard thee in a time accepted, and in the day of salvation have I succoured thee: behold, now is the accepted time; behold, now is the day of salvation.

John 3:16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

Romans 6:23 For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.

Romans 5:8 But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.

John 1:12 But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name:

The longest part of John 3:16 is “sssssooooooo Loved” and it can’t actually be qualified by any human adjective. The love of God for mankind cannot be contained in a box; it cannot be defined or expressed by mere language; it can’t be entirely understood by any mortal. The love of God for man is Gods initiative, not man’s.

God ‘was’ when we ‘weren’t’;
God ‘is’ when we ‘are’;
God ‘will be’ when we ‘are’ no more.
The same with his love.
God’s love was there when we weren’t there;
God’s love is here presently when ‘we are’ and wherever we are;
and God’s love will forever be present, when we are no more

There is nothing that our fore-fathers have done, there is nothing that we are doing, and there is nothing that the future generation will do – for us humans to take the credit that we are responsible for the Love of God towards us: the act and the intensity.

It started from God; it comes from God; it is felt by man; and regardless of our response, the love, and the intensity of the love doesn’t change. There are so many people who refuse to accept Gods love, but God still loves them all. There are those who don’t even realize that the good that their fellow humans observe in them is a result of God’s love, yet God still loves them.

I repeat: It wasn’t us(humans) who, by our own human means made God to decide to start loving us. It wasn’t by the good deeds of our forefathers that made God to start loving us. God started loving us at the beginning of time. He was there when time began, and we weren’t. He is here, presently in our own definition of time, and when our definition of time has passed, He will still be there.

The love of God for man is stronger than mans love for himself primarily or for those around Him, like his immediate family and friends. God so loved us in our past, God so loves us in our present and God will so love us in our future.

The English language qualifies some words as ‘past’, ‘present’ and ‘future’ – but God’s love for us(you and me) cuts through time, it was there in our past, it is there in our present, and it will be there in our future, forever and ever.

  • The love of God for man has no mathematical theory or formula. Why hasn’t any mathematician / physicist theorized anything about God’s love yet? Even the mathematicians and physicists need Gods love.

  • It has no chemical equation because Gods love is balanced, forever settled in Heaven.

  • God’s love has no astronomical theory because man, by searching cannot search God out, neither can man find the Almighty.

  • Gods love for man has no medical pill for / against or any diagnosis. Man cannot cure himself from the Love of God. The reason is because in the beginning, God breathed into man and man became a living soul – therefore man exists because God exists; nothing can separate us from Gods love.

  • God’s love is faster than the speed of light, because God himself is light, and in the beginning was light and light came into being through the words of God.

  • God’s love for man is wider and greater than the entire universe put together because eventhough God created many things, but only one man in His own image. Every other human being, dead or alive came through this one man – Adam.

  • God’s love is measureless and strong. What / who can compare to Gods love for man. God didn’t send any angel to redeem man. He sent His own son. Now what love could be stronger than that? What won’t God do for man?

Too many times, I am amazed at how much God loves me, personally. I have felt it, I feel it, I know it and will continue to realize His awesome love for me. God has never failed to bring out the wow in me, and I’m usually humbled by this realization. It just makes me to go back to God and say “God, thank you, you are just too much”, just carry on; and give Him all the glory and honor due to His name.

His love for me leads me back to Him in all humility, submission and love. I feel very sad whenever my heart condemns me on something, I go back to my God to say “I am sorry”, knowing fully well He so much loves me, and I shouldn’t have done what I did.

The key to realizing Gods love is believing in Him. “Whosoever believeth” is an open check, and unfortunately so many people refuse it. I sometimes wonder why? considering we are all human and these folks who refuse God have no other alternative.

  • Whosoever believeth – regardless of the life you lived in the past,

  • whosoever believeth – regardless of how far / deep you have strayed and stayed away.

Whosoever believeth, His arms are open and He is still calling: Come unto me, all ye that labor and are heavy laden and I will give you rest!

Have you felt the love of God?
