Let Him Who Has Ears: the following are some notes I jotted down listening to some Christian messages:
q1) If you have never failed, you have never tried anything new.
q2) There are so many Christian groups all preaching from the same Bible, each claiming to be the one-true Church, and each claiming to have the truth correctly. Isn’t this confusing. Don’t you sometimes wonder "why so many denominations exist?" The reason why God allows so many denominations to exist is to test our sincerity, to see whether we are really seeking him, or whether we are seeking a truth we are fascinated about or just personally interested in.
q3) The reason why many Christians cannot overcome the devil is that they are busy fighting men. The Bible says "we wrestle not against flesh and blood".
q4) The new testament message is "come and see". Today, people ask Jesus "where do you live Lord", and He answers "come and see: I live in that home, in that Church, in the man, woman and child".
But if these people really come and live in your home, in your church, in your office, with you for 1-day, month or 1-year, what will they see? Today, we have become religious, but not spiritual.
q5) God can do all things, but there are a lot of things He won’t do. Why? Coz He has given you the ability and capacity to do it for yourself.
q6) The mirror can be perfect, but it cannot clean your face. It is faulty as far as any ability to clean your face is concerned, but perfect in showing you the filth in your face.
q7) Matthew 23:15 "Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for you compass sea and land to make one proselyte, and when he is made, you make him twofold more the child of hell than yourselves"
Why does "he" become a twofold child of hell? because he was a child of hell before you went to him, and after you met him, he is still not converted.
q8) If you want to fight and win over satan, make a decision in your heart never to fight or argue with a human being.
q9) 95% of Christians have their kingdoms in this world, because they are always fighting with human beings and they have no time to fight the devil. They sit and walk around talking, backbiting and gossiping and speaking evil about each other. How will they have time to fight the devil?
q10) A time has to come in your life as a Christian when you cannot hate an enemy, you can only Love. True Christianity: you start in your unconverted state where you can only hate people who harm you; then you move to a place where with a great battle, you love people(old covenant); then you move to another place where you cannot hate people, but you can only love. This place is the place of Gods nature.
q11) There is a difference between nature and suppression. True Christianity is "nature", not suppression. Suppression: it is possible to train a tiger not to bite its trainer in a circus; but someday, somehow, it might get angry and revert to its old-nature. Nature: it has never been reported that a sheep bit off the head of its shepherd.
q12) Its usually those sins that we excuse ourselves from, by saying "We are just human" are the ones that destroy our fellowship with God.
q13) The gospel is that Jesus wants to live inside our skin, so that the world around us can have a little idea of what Jesus looks like.
