I am in Love with a girl

I am in Love with a girl. She has bright eyes that make my heart-beat skip, and a wide smile that takes my breath away. She is my friend, someone I could talk to without feeling shy or ashamed. Yes, we talk everyday. Her voice is confident, firm but pleasant, it wakes my ears, I’m ready to listen. I think of her almost every passing moment, and just those thoughts make me smile and love her even more.

My heart flutters like a butterfly, when I hear her “are you kidding me?”, her “hmm”; I smile, I quietly wonder, reflect and meditate: Oh, I have been handed a sweet sweet princess, a princess of my wildest dreams, a sweet princess to love and to protect, someone to hold, to love and to cherish. God must really really love me. Oh, she means so much to me, and I can’t find the words to describe how I feel. It is joyfully overwhelming and I have never felt this way before.

My feelings were once hidden. I couldn’t find or express them. But Eureka, “Ive found it”, and can express them for and towards her. My heart that was once alone, can now call her a friend. Dreams that I’ve always prayed for, are coming true with her. The love I once thought I would never find, I have found it and I am satisfied with her.

A vow to God and myself I make, to love and always cherish her, until my last breath… until my last day, I’ll do and give my best for her, so help me God.

My dear Faith Olaoluwa Oduse, it is you I write so passionately about. Sometimes I feel so lost for words, on how to tell you how I really feel. I love you, I love you, I love you. Indeed, Love is a wonderful feeling, especially when God is the giver; and Yes, I feel it strongly for you. If I can imagine the woods without a tree, If I can imagine the rivers without the sea, If I can imagine me without you, I can imagine how lost I would be.
