Beyond tomorrow

If I could just see beyond tomorrow,
If I could only know what lies ahead,
Tomorrow’s dangers and mangers,
The fires and the rainfalls,
Its darknights, and daylights,
All the weeps and its laughters,
Its successes and failures,
Profits and losses.

If only I knew what would be in the high or below,
If only I know where points my arrowhead.
Those who’ll be friends or duelers,
The pits causing life’s monstrous downfalls,
The time to be sober and the time to delight,
What would be first and what would come after,
So that I could avoid the cripplers,
Life’s roads and its crisscrosses.

If I could just see beyond tomorrow,
Would I be powerful and great?
Would I repeat yesterday’s mistakes?
Would I take this turn and bend?
Won’t I make a difference?
Won’t I avoid the lions den?
Won’t I spot the scarecrows?
I would, if I just could see beyond tomorrow.

If I know where the sun would rise tomorrow
Perhaps, I would no more be in the ‘agitate’
I would be ready for its bellyaches
I would not be scared of a sudden descend.
I would know from whom to keep my distance
And for whom I should affirm an Amen
If only I knew from where the next storm will blow
I would pick the just right amigos

I’ll never know, I’ll never see,
I can only think about it.
It was not meant for man to know
I can only see the Now at hand.
Is it true that history repeats itself?
I’ll keep my dreams alive
I’ll make the best of today
Who knows, beyond tomorrow may be worse.

If I could only see beyond tomorrow. I wonder how life would be.
