Let Him Who Has Ears hear: the following are some notes I jotted down listening to some Christian messages:
q1) Don’t be a hunter aiming at an antelope far away but blind to the one right in front of you.
q2) There is a man in every male child. There is a woman in every female child. Don’t kill the man in your son; don’t kill the woman in your daughter through excessive discipline.
q3) You can become a husband or wife by mistake but you can choose to become a father or mother or lover by choice.
q4) Everything you do has a reason. Everyone you love has a reward and every heart you break has a repercussion. It is better not to love at all than to break someones heart.
q5) Don’t throw away the pot and keep the burnt rice. Don’t throw away your heart because someone has broken it. The ability to love after your heart has been broken is the definition of experience.
q6) Learn from your mistakes but don’t live in the past. Love isn’t bad. It is people that don’t know how to love that make love look bad.
q7) If there is fire on everyone’s mountain, don’t have pity and fetch water to quench someone else’s fire before your own.
q8) It is better to be royal at your home than be a visiting monarch at someone else’s palace.
q9) There will always be someone willing to sacrifice their life just to steal you from your purpose, or steal your purpose from you.
q10) Nothing is natural that doesn’t need some polishing, for example: diamonds. Unfortunately, human beings carry this mentality around and believe that they can improve on Gods own image. That is why women try to brush it, gloss it, paint it, lighten / darken it, extend / shorten it…..something on their (faces or bodies) God’s finished product. A pig is a pig regardless of the amount of makeup.
q11) Man has two problems: loneliness and restriction. God solves these two by marriage.
q12) Whenever a cult rises up, it will first strike at the very root of Gods plan: marriage, and the purpose of mankind.
q13) You cannot be in love with someone without being in love with yourself first. You cannot hate others without hating yourself first. Love is the easiest thing in the world. Hate is the hardest thing in the world.
q14) Satan tempts man with 3-things: (1) bread and material things, (2) the kingdom, (3) pride and position.
q15) Sometimes, you need to get down from a bus you have embarked on if it is isn’t going to your destination or if it isn’t going as fast as you want it to go.
q16) Don’t throw away your favorite shirt because one button is bad.
q17) You are too special to be rejected by someone you love, for you to go begging to be loved again.
q18) When you fall in public, don’t stay on the ground.
q19) One person cannot commit fornication.
q20) Standards should not blind you to the reality. Don’t beg just to settle when you can have it all.
q21) A virtuous woman does not go arguing with people passing in front of her gate. She takes care of it, protects and guards it.
q22) In your marriage relationship, learn to throw away your scraps. If your partner continues taking your scraps, one day, he/she would burst like a coca-cola bottle shaken over and over again.
q23) Wives, don’t ‘mother’ your husbands. Be a wife instead. Husbands, don’t ‘father’ your wives, be a husband instead.
q24) alternative Proverbs 21:9 It is better to dwell in a corner of the housetop, than with a brawling man in a wide house.
q25) Dont make your spouse sigh before entering his / her own house.
q26) Nagging makes you look like scrambled egg with a lost essence. A scrambled egg and an omlette are not the same.
q27) Marry someone whose crap you can take and endure for the rest of your life.
q28) Why do some women plan for unprotected sex and yet don’t plan for pregnancy.
q29) Does anyone open a canned food to taste its content if it is as sweet as the label says or if it is really best before the expiry date…….all before paying for it? Why do some single ladies open their laps and allow men to sample their virtue before paying for it?
q30) Assumption should not be assumed in any relationship.
